Wishing and Hoping

I haven't blogged for a little while. I've been meaning to but haven't really had the time to. I've been working and doing some shopping. I got a lot of clothes the other day for good prices for work! I needed new work clothes, with more color. We're supposed to wear 90% black all the time and I figured out a way that I can do more color and still pass, so I'm excited. All I need now are some black flats.

Also, I babysat Charlie and his new baby brother, Sam the other day. They were so cute. It was a lot of fun. Sam is a pretty good baby, so that's awesome. :) We played and watched Monsters, Inc. I love that show.

Yesterday at work, Macy's employees were invited to try on a pair of any jeans from our new Impulse department and get entered to win a pair. So why not?! They are expensive and amazing jeans. I want some. I tried on a few and really like the Hudson jeans with the back flap pockets. They're only $179.... haha. And with my discount, they'd be more like $150. But still. Wow. Here are the ones I want. Hudson bootcut in Jessie, click here for more views.

Another item that I would absolutely LOVE to have, is the new Macbook Air. I want it so bad. If only I had the money for it, I would already have it. I love that its so environmentally friendly. And its a Mac. Case closed. haha. It starts at $1799. Click here for more details.

Something else I really want is the LG Dare. I want a new phone. I want a touch phone, and I like the LG Dare. I can upgrade my phone this September, so maybe it won't be that much money to upgrade to the LG Dare. I don't know. We will see. I'm hoping! It starts at $179.99, hmm those numbers seem to be a trend in these items.. Click here to learn more.

Another thing that I would really, really like. Britney Spears Concert tickets. I want to go so bad. Its supposed to be amazing, which I'm sure it will be. Tickets are still on sale, even in the lower bowl. So I'm dying to go to it! Stupid bills. :) I wish "I got mine" :(

I would rather not go to work today, though. Too bad I need the money, and not all for fun stuff. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mardi Gras and that everyone wants to go to New Orleans. I would love to go back there someday soon. I loved that trip. Did anyone give up anything for Lent? I was thinking about giving up something, but I don't know what. Any ideas?

I've seen 131 out of 239 films and more

So I guess I have no life. I don't believe that though. I mean I have somewhat of a life because I go with friends and family to movies. I like movies, deal with it. haha. I don't think this list includes a lot of the great movies out there, though. So that kinda sucks. Anyway, have fun reading and do it also if you would like! Its kinda fun.

Happy Late Mardi Gras! I love my new background. I miss N'awlins. I would like to go back there soon. Its so full of life its crazy fun. Here's some photos of my visit there, on my sister's blog. Oh, and I did get my hair fixed Monday. I like it sooo much better! Yay for Rachel! :)

SUPPOSEDLY if you've seen over 85 films, you have no life. Mark the ones you've seen. There are 239 films on this list. Copy this list, go to your own blog, paste this as a post. Then, put x's next to the films you've seen, add them up, and change the header adding your number. Have fun.

February Christmas presents, work, fun.

This week was a pretty good week.

  • Monday, I hung out with my friend, Cheri. We went shopping and exchanged really late Christmas presents in February. haha. I loved my present! She gave me the third season of Supernatural! It has one of my favorite episodes on it. Thanks Cheri!
  • I also found out that I'm going to be in Juniors permanently at Macy's. Which is good, I'm taking over this girl's position who is on maternity leave until June. There's only one girl in Juniors that I can't stand very much, she doesn't do much. Ever.
  • I ordered some stuff on Amazon last week or so and it came this week! I was excited! I'm a geek but I bought a Bob Marley calendar, a Bob Marley 56 sayings little book, a James Dean TV DVD Collection which I'm excited to watch, and a James Dean 50 Years book which I checked out from the library probably a year ago or so and loved it. So that's exciting! I also bought new dress pants last night and they are so cute!
  • I've had a fun time playing Wii this week with my brother and sister. Its been fun. I'm hooked on the Training for bowling spin control. I can't get passed the 17th lane though.
  • Oh! And another bonus, my car was registered yesterday! I haven't been driving my car for awhile now and its been ok. But now that I have my little car back, I'm happier! Crazy, but I do love my car. My favorite thing about it is that it is a stick shift. I pick manuals over automatics any day!
  • I'm excited to watch American Idol this week because of some of the people in this week's group! I also liked that Michael Johns was on it (and Carly) but Michael is much better. I'm excited to hear his single. I was more excited last week for Noah Wyle appearing on ER! I love Dr. Carter. He is my FAVORITE. He's an awesome guy. I will be really disappointed and upset if they do kill him off, that would be bad. It would be cool if ABC picked up the series though so we'd get a bit more still. I like TV. So what. :)
  • Plus my Grandma is still doing pretty well! Yay! I hope to see her this week.
  • And I get to babysit Charlie this Thursday, I'm excited!
  • The Oscars. Tonight. Yahoo! I still haven't seen all the movies yet, but I hope to soon. I did really enjoy the movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett are amazing in it. I recommend seeing it.
  • It also feels like Spring outside lately. I love it. Bring on the sun and rain!

There is a more serious post for you all. :)

“The only thing that could spoil a day was people. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.” - Ernest Hemingway

My Sister, Nicole.

So today I wanted to write about how my sister sucks all day everyday. I hope you enjoy me venting and don't go and get a Coors Light. That's not the type of venting I mean. ha . ha . My sister left me. She left me stranded. She left me to take care of myself. She was not a good sister ever. She was selfish and left me all alone in a brown cardboard box of a home. I don't think my sister knows how much I know that she hates me. She thinks I'm not here in the brain. She wants to never come back. She would rather go surfing on a kite in Louisiana. She thinks this is funny but I know that it will never work. Even Benjamin Franklin knew this. He tried to surf on a kite too but it was in Wisconsin. I don't think Cheese made any difference that day. My sister will soon find out that she was wrong but it will be too late. I will have moved on and grown up. She should have known better but she wasn't raised well. That is no excuse though. I wasn't raised well as you can see, she left me, that is why. But now I have become a better person than I once was. She will never know true happiness lies within the heart. I hope she soon realizes her many mistakes in her lifetime.

I was just being funny. We're now going to go play Wii. I wanted to write a real post today and perhaps it will come about later. Or tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed this stupid made up story. haha. Happy Sunday!

"When you have once seen the glow of happiness on the face of a beloved person, you know that a man can have no vocation but to awaken that light on the faces surrounding him; and you are torn by the thought of the unhappiness and night you cast, by the mere fact of living, in the hearts you encounter." - Albert Camus

Brought to you by the Letter J.

Nikki tagged me with the letter J. At first, I couldn't think of much. Then, they just kept coming when I didn't have time to blog yet. So here's my J list. :)

1. James Dean - my all-time favorite actor. East of Eden is my favorite movie of his.

2. 21 Jump Street - Johnny Depp - Johnny Depp is my second favorite actor after James Dean. I really like this show, its funny. It wasn't too great after Johnny left though.

3. I like a lot of people.. Including:
  • Jesse James - I've always been intrigued by the western legends of Jesse James and I love the American Outlaws movie the best so far because it has a lot of comedy in it and Colin Farrell plays him, so that's a big bonus.
  • Jensen Ackles - I love his character "Dean" on Supernatural
  • Angelina Jolie - I like her best for her humanitarian work but some of her movies are awesome too.

4. Jukebox Hero - I likes my Foreigner

5. Jumping on the tramp

6. Jungles - animals!

7. Jewelry - especially big earrings

8. Jeans

9. Jamaica - one word: BOB. As in Bob Marley.

10. Yummy Food: Jack in the Box Restaurant, Jamba Juice

I tag the rest of you with the letter H! If you can't think of much with that letter, I'll pick a different one for you. :) Now I want Jamba..

“May the wind always be on your back and the sun upon your face and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.” - Johnny Depp

Journal Entry, age 10

I was reading my first journal today and its pretty funny, but in some parts it was really sad. I remember a lot of it, so that's good. I found something fun in it that I'd like to share. I wrote an "All About Me" in January 1999, so I was 10 years old. Here it is:

I love all animals and nature. The music I listen to is either pop, alternative, and some rock. Mostly not rock just soft rock. I love basketball! I love swimming and roller-blading. I have tons of CD's! I am the "angel" of the family. I like reading. I love writing. I don't like school! I have a ton of friends! I wear tight shirts and baggy pants. I hate fake nails!!!!

I am Mormon. I love dogs, cats, and frogs! I like the Jazz, and the Raiders! I love pictures. I love stuffed animals! I love turtles! I like the color blue! I like nail-polish. I like glittery face stuff. I like raspberries and razzleberry pie!!!!!! I love movies!

I have a sister named Crystal that died in my mom's stomach and she would be 16 years old. Another sister named Nicole that is 15 years old. A sister or brother was a miscarriage would be 10 years old like me, a few months older. And a brother, Timmy 1 years old. I love them all so very much! My dad Michael or Mike, 37 years old. My mom Keri, 36 years old. I love them so very much, too! I have no clue what I would do without them!!!

I like Taz and Tweety! I love pigs! I love Jesus. I love drawing and gelly roll pens! That's all about me! Ashley Elkington, age 10.

I thought that was funny to read because some of those things still apply to me.

“Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” - Michael Jordan

"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." - James Dean

So I've done a Dream List before but I can never find them after I've done them. I've copied my sister and made a Dream List from this cool website: TaDa. So here is my Dream List so far. I know I'll be adding more to it during my life and checking them off once or twice. I'm excited and I hope I get to do all or at least most of them during my lifetime! :) I look forward to reading yours if you do it too!
