Favorite Movie Monday

I love this movie. "Clayton!" "Goooo Reee La!" But my favorite part is probably when Tarzan meets Jane. "Tarzan, Oh I see." "Oh! No, no, no, no" "No, no, no, no!" "Tarzan, Jane" haha.

School is hard. I should be doing it right now. I will, after this post. My math class is difficult, I hate math. I just suck at it unless I'm doing it every single day. I already have a math test this weekend. I really like my medical terminology class so far, its getting harder. But its more fun than the others. My communications class is easy, we're doing a group project and I'm the Facilitator. Not really by choice, we went through 2 before I took the spot. Its annoying. My group is annoying me. Maybe I just don't like working in groups.. I don't know. Looking at my profile picture, I want to go play with that goat. I don't want to do school.

I need a haircut. I need my hair colored. I want to do it today. I hope I have time for it. I was supposed to go to a movie with my work friends, Rachael and Kaitlyn tonight. But it got postponed, so that's sad. I did get a new phone last night! Its an LG Dare and I absolutely love, love, love it.

It was my 12 year old brother's birthday yesterday. I didn't have time to post a blog about him. BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIMMY!!! I love him. He is my favorite brother ever. We have so much fun. It was a good day. We got him a Hurley zip hoodie, the Die Hard DVD -- he loves those movies! And we got him some awesome AIR JORDANS. :) He also got the CDs he wanted from my parents, Jay-Z and the Black Eyed Peas, candy, and the LG Versa. He's going to be a Deacon now. SO crazy!

C'est tout pour maintenant. Au Revoir!

Favorite Movie Monday

Inside Man starring Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, and Jodie Foster

It looked like the perfect bank robbery. But you can't judge a crime by its cover.

This movie is really good. Its very clever. Clive, Denzel, and Jodie are all really great in it!

21 Grams starring Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, and Naomi Watts

This movie is about a freak accident that brings together a critically ill mathematician (Penn), a grieving mother (Watts) and a born-again ex-con (Del Toro). You should watch it.

Music is good for the soul

So, I'm on twitter. I got a tweet quite awhile ago from Katy Perry to check out her friend, Jessie James. Well I finally checked her out! I kinda like it! Here's her "Blue Jeans" song, you've probably heard "Wanted" on the radio. Check out her myspace with more songs.

At work, they play this song that I've really started to enjoy. Its Morgan Page featuring Lissie, called the Longest Road. Here's the video:

And I really like Daughtry's song "Call Your Name" off his "Leave this town" album:

Hope you enjoy it! :)

My Mountain Goat friend, Rex.

Idaho was A LOT OF FUN!!!!! I didn't expect it to be as much fun as it was, but there were a lot of bonuses that weren't planned that made it extra special. We only had two days but we squeezed a lot of things into our short time there.

Wednesday, we left around noon to go to Idaho. We had to get my car all ready to go so we went to Jiffy Lube first. While on our way to Idaho Falls, where our hotel was and DAVID COOK.. We saw a sign for Frontier Pies. We got really excited because we love, love, love their cornbread. Its delicious! And we don't have any Frontier Pies here in Utah anymore so we decided we had to go and get some yummy cornbread. Then, we checked into our hotel and the front desk lady just went off about all the restaurants in the area.. That's pretty much all she told us. haha. We went to Sizzler for dinner and afterward, we made our way to Civic Auditorium to find amazing David Cook.

His opening act was a band called Crash Kings, they were good! They were different and they had that raw edge to any new and upcoming band which I love. Check them out! They were great. The concert was amazing! It was definitely one of my favorite concerts I've ever experienced and I would love to see Dave Cook again. After the concert, we stood outside the building and waited for David Cook to come outside. We only waited about 40 minutes or so and then he came out! We waited to get his autograph and pictures. He couldn't stop and pose for pictures so I had a genius idea to take a picture of each of us with him in the background signing autographs. It was so awesome! He was really nice! We also bought David Cook zip hoodies. Yay! :)

Thursday, we got up early and ate a not-so-satisfying breakfast at the hotel. It was no bueno! And I love breakfast food. We decided to check out Yellowstone Bear World. We've driven past it before but have never stopped there. We always thought the real Yellowstone is much better, which it is. But this place is so awesome! I loved it! I would definitely visit it again. They have this open air animal park/zoo sort of thing where you drive around (windows up, going 5 mph, and no stopping) and you get to see BEARS, Wolves, Elk (also a rare white elk which is leucistic - like white tigers; it is NOT albino), deer, buffalo, and mountain goats.

While driving, there just so happened to be an adult black bear strolling in the middle of the road. I couldn't go around him, there wasn't enough room. He would not get out of the way! You're not supposed to honk either, but if you must, honk three times. Well I slowed way down and freaked out a bit asking my sister "WHAT DO I DO?". Well she didn't answer, so I revved my engine a little and that scared the bear into a little run. Then he just walked again! He finally eventually moved out of the way so I could pass, but it was frightening.

They also had a petting zoo! There was this deer that chomped on my shirt and got it all wet. It was so funny! And there were these crazy chickens, turkeys, ducks, and a snoring pig. There was also this cute little mountain goat (young) that we fed and he followed us all around because he still wanted attention and food. I named him Rex. At one point, I was getting him more food out of the machine thing (like a quarter candy thing) and he wouldn't let me get it out! So I just let him eat it out of the little slot. There were also these bear cubs. They were so adorable! You can't pet them but you can watch them. You can also feed them but its $50 bucks (that we didn't have!)

Then, we went back towards Idaho Falls to eat at Frontier Pies. It was delicious! Our waitress was awfully strange but what do you expect? haha jk. It was a Frontier Pies that was in a gas station. We left there to go onto our next adventure, Balanced Rock. Its near Twin Falls and we saw a lot of cows on our way there. Balanced Rock is a wind-carved rock, that stands 48 feet tall, and weights FORTY TONS. It balances on a pedestal that is only 3 feet by 17 inches! It felt great to get out of the car and hike up to this awesome Rock!

We started to go back home through Wendover and stopped in this little town that looked deserted. Everything was closed! We ate at Burger King and there were these guys that were talking about unemployment -- kinda sad. We then slowly made our way through the Bonneville Salt Flats. That was pretty cool, except it was quite dark. So at times, we weren't sure if it was salt or water.

Here's a slideshow of our trip!

Favorite Movie Monday

Blow starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz

This movie is so good! Its about George Jung, the man who began the American cocaine market in the 70s. I realize the last two Favorite Movie Mondays have been about drugs. Well there's at least one more drug movie I really like. You'll have to keep reading to find out. :)

Jesse James

Oh, how I love the stories about Jesse James!

It would be his 162nd birthday today, Happy Birthday Jesse James!!

If anyone that is reading this, does not know who he is, look him up. There are so many movies about him, my favorite by far is American Outlaws, even if its not all the way right. There are so many legends about him. He was killed by the coward, Robert Ford.

I think this calls for a road trip to Kearney, Missouri. haha. And then I could go up to Indiana and see my other James (Dean). Happy Birthday Jesse Woodson James!

Idaho Falls, here I come!

I'm leaving for Idaho Falls today, I'm excited! Why am I going there, you ask? David Cook! My sister and I are going to his concert there! He is one of my favorite American Idols. I liked him ever since his audition. Idaho Falls isn't very far from where I live so I won't be gone long. Just 2 days. I was looking up what there was to do near Idaho Falls, I didn't find much. But I did find this rock called Balanced Rock. It looks pretty cool. Its a wind-carved rock that stands 48 feet tall and weighs 40 tons. It balances on a pedestal that is only 3 feet by 17 inches. Here's a picture!

Balanced Rock

There is also this Whispering Giant Statue. This guy is making all of these Native American statues all over the United States. They are pretty awesome. We have one here in Murray that I've seen. Here is the one in Idaho Falls!

Whispering Giant Statue

Then, there's also Craters of the Moon. There used to be Volcanoes in Idaho. Craters of the Moon says its a vast ocean of lava flows, it has cinder cones and sagebrush. And volcanic black ash of course. It looks awesome. There's Fort Hall - a Native American reservation. That's cool too! But I am most excited for the one and only:

David Cook

Yay for Road Trips! :) I love road trips.
